we.respect

we.respect is our sustainability manifesto.

Sustainability is interwoven through all aspects of Berger Textiles’ operations. This journey started many years ago and has already taken us down new roads, brought new ideas and driven us to create new products. It is a road that we continue to travel on, making continual improvements as we go.

As a Spandex Group company, Berger Textiles’ Sustainability Strategy is focused on five areas, aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and underpinned by the high ethical standards we hold ourselves to. In 2025 Berger Textiles achieved an EcoVadis Platinum Medal, recognising excellence in sustainability across Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

More than products

The EVO range represents the Evolution of our products

A complete set of textiles produced using certified recycled yarn that cover all the applications across the Soft Signage market. The EVO range reduces the use of new virgin material as it is produced using recycled PET.

In addition, all the products are REACH compliant, PVC-free, phthalate-free and have a water-based coating.

All our EVO textiles produced using recycled PET yarn are certified

We use a worldwide recognized certification to confirm the vision we have for our future development: another little piece of the puzzle that will help us in building the complete scenario.

The certification sets the criteria for third-party of recycled materials and chain of custody including a 50% minimum recycled content percentage and additional social and environmental requirements related to processing and chemical use.

All our textiles are REACH compliant.

The Regulation on the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals (REACH) is the main EU law to protect human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals.

CarbonQuota collaboration.

We have now calculated the carbon footprint of our best-selling product Samba, in collaboration with CarbonQuota, a leading advisor for carbon measurement. This assessment has confirmed that Samba EVO, produced using recycled PET yarn, has a lower carbon footprint (-18%) if compared to the standard version.

Furthermore, the wider information gathered by this CO2 footprint assessment has been key to driving future product development and innovation. We will continue to roll out CarbonQuota assessments throughout our entire product range in due course.

EcoVadis Platinum Medal for Sustainability Excellence.

In 2025 Berger Textiles achieved an EcoVadis Platinum Medal, recognising excellence in sustainability across Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. This annual assessment reflects our ongoing commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices.
