Our company has a rich history of providing quality textiles, with over 175 years of experience

It all began with the foundation of the company in 1849, still under the name of Fa. Schüssler & Co.

At first we traded as wholesalers with various cotton fabrics for stages, theatres and large screens which were painted by hand. In the 80’s we concentrated on digital printing and in fact, developed a process for coating fabrics, making them digitally printable.

Over the years, this spirit of innovation and quality awareness has resulted in many other processes and products such as be.tex® Samba® FR, which continues to set the benchmark in the industry today. Together with our sales partners, bergertextiles sells more than 9 million square meters of textiles and accessories, in more than 55 countries.

2025

Berger Textiles names Brand Management Group (BMG), a subsidiary of S-One Holdings, as its Master Distributor for North America. This partnership expands access to Berger Textiles’ product range and ensures seamless service, support, and sustainable solutions for print providers across the region.

2025

Berger Textiles achieved an EcoVadis Platinum Medal, recognising excellence in sustainability across Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. This annual assessment reflects our ongoing commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices.

2017

To improve our service level, we have invested in a modern high rack warehouse in Duisburg. Here we can offer shorter loading times and fast shipping, thanks to the larger logistics center and the convenient location at the Duisburg logistics hub.

2017

After reinforcement in product development, sales, technology and marketing, the decision was made to expand the premises. The Mies van der Rohe Business Park is a worldwide unique building complex from the golden age of the textile industry on the Lower Rhine – bergertextiles lets this tradition live on.

2012

The business of Gustav Schüssler GmbH & Co KG was taken over by A. Berger GmbH.

1973

Gustav Schüssler OHG (with Klaus Schüssler, 4th generation) took over his customer A. Berger & Co.KG. Both companies were still active in the market with different product ranges.

1952

Relocation to the Kuhleshütte 84. This was a suitable site for the steadily growing company.

1946

After the Marktstrasse was bombed during the war, construction of a new, larger building in the Kuhleshütte 84 began in 1946.

1849

The company Schüssler & Co. was founded in the Marktstrasse in Krefeld in this year. At first they traded with various fabrics as wholesalers.
